Product Review: Clinique 3-step System
Hey y'all! For Christmas, one of the presents I received was the Clinique 3-step System. This has been around for a while, and I really wanted to try it because I was looking to switch up my regular skin care routine. I used it from Christmas until about a week ago. And I absolutely HATED it. Right around Christmas, I noticed a change in my skin. I started to break out a lot more than I usually do. I figured that it was probably just because of the dry air, since I was visiting family in a different state. But I got home and waited for about a week and my skin still wasn't doing any better. I kept waiting and finally I realized it when my friend told me that she used to use Clinique, but it broke her out as well.
After I stopped using it, my skin cleared up and is already looking 10 times better! I would not recommend this product to anyone. The clarifying lotion dried out my skin and the moisturizing lotion made it too oily.
P.S. I have combination oily skin and used the combination oily set.
What to Wear: When You Don't Know the Dress Code
Hey y'all! So we all have those days when you are going somewhere, but you aren't sure how dressy you should dress or what your friends are wearing. Of course you can always ask your friends, but if you are in a rush I have some ideas.
If you know the event will be on the casual side:
If you know the event will be on the casual side:
I'd start with jeans, and this winter I am LOVING jeggings. I have a pair from Gap that I practically live in. I would also wear a basic top like this one from Delia's. It would be better to choose a darker or more neutral color. A bright fucsia or green could make the outfit look a tad dressier. Because it's cold where I live, I have to add a sweater. I like this one from Forever 21. It's neutral and really cute. I would pair it with some classic UGGs in pretty much any color (but I think grey or black would look really cute with this outfit). To accessorize, I suggest casual jewelry like any of these sets of bracelets from Delia's. I especially love the one called tan (shown in picture) to add a pop of color.
Whenever you aren't sure of the dress code, always go dressier than you think you should. It's harder to figure out what to wear when its cold outside, so many decisions! When the weather is warmer it's easier because you pretty much always wear shorts then add a vneck if casual or a cute tank if dressier. For shoes either wear flip flops if casual or flats if dressier. I can't wait till summer and we can make easier decisions!
